Riversdale School Newsletter Term 4 Week 9

Tena Koutou Parents, Caregivers and Whanau.

Hello everyone,

Kia ora e hoa mä.

Mā te tuakana ka tōtika te teina, mā te teina ka tōtika te tuakana

(From the older sibling the younger learns how to do it, from the younger sibling the older learns how to be tolerant/everyone has responsibilities, both the old and the young.)

Graduation

We had the most lovely evening on Tuesday, honouring our Year 8 graduates. All of them spoke so well about their time at Riversdale School, making the staff and their whanau very proud of their achievements.

Congratulations to Eden Smith who was presented with the Switzer’s Award, and Quinn Campbell who won the Elder Trophy for Sporting Excellence.

A very BIG THANK YOU to Jessica Stevenson who got everything organised for this lovely evening including the gorgeous tops that the Year 8’s are wearing in the photo. Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into this Jessica.

Camp Columba Trip

The Year 8 group had a fun filled day on Wednesday at Camp Columba. Thank

you to Miss Stevenson for organising

this for them.

Stationery Arrangement for 2022

Teachers have ordered stationery packs for you for 2022. These will be delivered to school. School will be open on 31 January and 1 February, 2022 between 9:00am and 12 noon, as well as the following week on 8 February, 2022 between 9:00am and 12 noon, for you to come in and pay and collect the relevant packs.

Prices for stationery packs will be advised via School Stream.

Please be advised that you will not be able to buy this any cheaper at the Warehouse, or Warehouse Stationery, as we have obtained special pricing deals.

Payment can be made by direct credit to the school’s bank account.

Please do not be offended, but staff will be asking you to provide proof of payment before you collect the stationery. This may be by showing the direct debit transaction on your phone. You may choose to pay by cash, either method is acceptable and staff will be recording your name as they release the stationery to you.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. We look forward to seeing everyone back ready for another year of learning on Wednesday 9 February. Please bring ALL named stationery back to school on the first day, 9 February. Teachers will store spare stationery in cupboards and give it out as needed. Thank you.
