Riversdale School Newsletter Term 2 Week 10

Tena Koutou Parents, Caregivers and Whanau.

Hello everyone,

Kia ora e hoa mä.

Mā te tuakana ka tōtika te teina, mā te teina ka tōtika te tuakana

(From the older sibling the younger learns how to do it, from the younger sibling the older learns how to be tolerant/everyone has responsibilities, both the old and the young.)

School reports will be sent home tomorrow, Friday 9 July, with the oldest or only child. See the information in this newsletter regarding booking an interview on 26 or 27 July to discuss your child/rens learning.

Have a safe and happy holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone back for an action packed Term 3.

Year 7 and 8 Camp

The Year 7 and 8 students have been away on camp in Queenstown this week and are due back this evening. They have had a great time at the snow farm, skiing, swimming, racing the walls at clip and climb and more. We look forward to hearing all about their experiences when they get back. Thank you to all the parent helpers who supported with preparing for camp and the helpers who attended the camp. A special thank you to Jessica Stevenson for organizing a spectacular camp for the senior students.

Carnival Trains

Yesterday, Room 1 students were extremely lucky to have the skills and expertise of Mr Doug Wing to support them with building their carnival trains. He spent numerous hours preparing the parts in order to make the building process so much easier for the students. Thank you as well to all the parents that came in to support Doug and the students to build their trains.
