Riversdale School Newsletter Term 2 Week 7

Welcome: Zachary, Grayson and Archer Lord and L J and Harlem Taylor.

Tena Koutou Parents, Caregivers and Whanau.

Hello everyone,

Kia ora e hoa mä.

He aroha whakatō, he aroha ka puta mai

If kindness is sown, then kindness is what you shall receive

Over the next few weeks all students will bring home a Pepeha template to fill in for homework. A Pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in Māori. It tells a story of the places and people you are connected to. We ask you to please support your child/ren to fill in their details such as their mountain, river, iwi etc. We will be having a big focus for all staff and students to learn their Pepeha off by heart.

Friday rugby practice starts this Friday 12 June. All rugby students from Years 0 - 6 will walk to the Rugby Grounds with parental supervision at 1.20pm to practice and leave to return to school at 2.30pm. Please ensure children bring their rugby boots and mouthguard to school on Friday. All students must also wear their hi-vis vests when walking to and from the Rugby Grounds.
