Rotary Young Achievers
It was a great pleasure to attend the Rotary Young Achievers with Adam and Charlie’s Whanau. We are very proud of these two boy’s achievements and contribution to our school community.
It was amazing to hear all the student’s achievements who were nominated.
When there are such fine young people in this area you know that the future of New Zealand is in good hands.
A very big thank you to the Rotary Club of Gore for acknowledging the Year 8 students from our local schools.
Exciting News
The Board is very delighted to announce Marion Frei has been appointed to the recently advertised permanent position at Riversdale School due to roll growth. The team is really excited that Marion will be joining us in 2022.
School Opening Date 2022; this is Tuesday 8 February, the day immediately after Waitangi Day.
Year 8 Graduation Ceremony
Due to Covid restrictions, we have booked Croydon Lodge for the Year 8 Graduation Ceremony. The date has changed and it will now be held on Tuesday 14 December. This is our tentative plan and I will keep you updated.
Teacher Only Day - School Closed to Students
On Friday 3 December we will be having a Teacher Only Day for staff to work on school reports. School will be closed to students so you will need to arrange alternative care.
School Values Awards
At Riversdale School children are awarded House Points for displaying the school values of; respectful, responsible and resilient. Children are working towards achieving values targets.
50 House Points = Bronze Values Award.
100 House Points = Silver Values Award.
150 House Points = Gold Values Award.
Congratulation to Grayson, Ella, Leigh, Indie and Archer who have received their Bronze School Values Award for earning 50 House Points in 2021. Congratulations to Hunter, Monty, Rylan, Mason, Dillon, Aria-Lea, Blaine, Lucy, Adam and Eilish who received their silver award for earning 100 House Points in 2021.

03 December Teacher Only Day – School Closed.
06 December Board of Trustees meeting, 8:00pm at the school.
17 December Reports sent home.
20 December Last day of school for 2021. School finishes at 12.30pm.

Values Certificates
We will be acknowledging the students that received certificates for displaying the values of being respectful, resilient, and responsible, at Riversdale School, in the newsletter the following week. Ka Pai! You all displayed the school values so well last week.
