who are the parents of the youngest child in their family.

We really appreciate everything you have contributed to the school over a long period of time. Some of you have been employed here, some have stood on the Board, Pool Committee, or Home and School for a lengthy period. All of you have supported fundraising, transporting children to sports and cultural events, school camps, production, and pet days, it’s endless.

We wish you all the very best in your new era of supporting your children’s Secondary School’s.

Stationery Arrangement for 2021

Teachers have ordered stationery packs for you for 2021. These will be delivered to school. School will be open on 27 and 28 January, as well as the following week, for you to come in and pay and collect the relevant packs. We do not know the exact price as yet, but this will be advised via School Stream as soon as we do know. It is noticeably cheaper through the supplier we have chosen this year. Please be advised that you will not be able to buy this any cheaper at the Warehouse, or Warehouse Stationery, as we have obtained special pricing deals.

Once you are advised of the cost, you can make payment by direct credit to the school’s bank account Riversdale School Board of Trustees 03-0915-0285825-00.

Please do not be offended, but staff will be asking you to provide proof of payment before you collect the stationery. This may be by showing the direct debit transaction on your phone. You may choose to pay by cash, either method is acceptable and staff will be recording your name as they release the stationery to you.

Parents transport their own children to Dolamore Park if possible. If you cannot attend the school picnic and cannot arrange a friend to transport your child/children, please let your child’s teacher know. Staff members will transport any children who need a ride to the school picnic.

Children will need their togs and a towel for the water slide, a sun hat, sunscreen, gym shoes for the bush walk and clothing to suit the day. Children need a packed lunch and drink bottle or alternatively families can pack their own picnic basket.

The Great School Water Fight

On Wednesday 16 December we will have the annual Great School Water Fight. The Water Fight takes place after lunch and there is a separate area for Juniors and Seniors. Students need to bring along water pistols, drink bottles or containers for the water fight. No water balloons are allowed as they create too much rubbish. Please ensure your child brings their togs or shorts and a t-shirt and a towel for the water fight. Children do not have to participate, it is by choice only.

We usually go for a swim in the pool at the end of the water fight, so children need togs and towel.
